## Common mistakes that produce visible artifacts

1. **Marking too small.** If you only paint the visible part of the object and leave a thin halo of its shadow or edge, the AI gets confused and keeps fragments. Brush 5–10 pixels beyond the visible edge for clean results.

2. **Trying to remove the main subject.** Object removal is for distractions in the background. If the object is the centered subject of the photo, removing it leaves a hole the AI cannot meaningfully fill. Crop or reshoot instead.

3. **Ignoring shadows.** Remove a person from a sunny outdoor scene but leave their cast shadow on the ground and the result looks ghostly. Brush over both the object and its shadow.

4. **Working at the wrong resolution.** Upload at full resolution. Don't shrink the photo first to "make it easier" — the AI uses pixel-level detail to reconstruct backgrounds, and a downscaled source produces softer, lower-quality fills.

## How this compares to other object removers
